Department for Business and Trade Agri-tech visit to Gloucestershire

1 February 2024

The Gloucestershire Agri-tech Partnership host the Department of Business and Trade Food & Drink and Agri-Tech Investment team.

January was an extremely productive week for the Invest in Gloucestershire team and The Gloucestershire Agri-tech Partnership who were delighted to host the Department for Business and Trade Food & Drink and Agri-Tech Investment team.

The team visited both Hartpury University and Hartpury College and Farm491 where they were provided with a comprehensive insight into the Agri-tech cluster in Gloucestershire and explored opportunities for future collaboration in regards to the inward investment piece, policy-making with central government and trade and export opportunities for businesses in the county.

The team at GFirst LEP would like to thank all involved, particularly the National Cyber Security CentreDepartment for Levelling Up, Housing and CommunitiesCampden BRI, and Countryside and Community Research Institute for their great presentations. Also to the Royal Agricultural University for a brilliant overview of the future landscape of food-related issues and the Innovation Village project at the University.

We look forward to exploring opportunities to add value to the UK Agri-tech Investment services and the Department for Business and Trade global network and showcase the sector's strengths and growth aspirations.
